Our First Week Of School - September 2021
Reception have had a fantastic first week of school. They are learning lots of new routines, meetings lots of new people and getting to know their new classroom. Everybody has said they want to come back next week so it must have been a successful week!

Wow, another fast week. We had lots of fun celebrating Emma Raducanu's win this week. I saw a few tired children and teachers by the end of the week! Hope are all looking forward to your full week next week. See you soon.
Our Buddy Gallery - October 2021
Reception met their Yr6 buddies briefly this week. Everybody was really excited and we can't wait to spend more time together in the term.
Autumn 1 in Reception - October 2021
Reception have made a fantastic start to school this half term. Their teachers are all really proud of them. We have been trying to tweet regularly to keep you up to date with our learning and experiences we have been having around school this half term but I have included a selection below from week 4-7.
Well done Reception and thank to all the Reception families for all the support you have given your child through this half term.

Our Special Visitor - Nurse - November 2021
In connection to our discussions about 'people who help us' and 'keeping healthy' we had a special visitor in class. A children's nurse visited us. Lots of us were familiar with her...Alice's mummy! Alice was a very proud daughter in class. We heard all about how to wash our hands properly, how important sleep is, how much water we should be drinking, the importance of exercise and how to check your pulse rate among other things.
The day before, the class had prepared some questions that Alice's mummy picked out of a bag and answered. We had a great morning together thank you. We then created a hospital in our role play area so we could put some of the things we have learnt into practice!
Firework Week - November 2021
The first week of Autumn 2 was spent celebrating bonfire night, finding out the story behind bonfire night and taking part in lots of craft and exciting activities linked to fireworks. We moved like fireworks, created chalk pictures, created pictures on the computer, made rhyming rockets, made some fruity fireworks and had our own pretend bonfire! Lots of colorful fun.
Individual Nativity Pictures - December 2021
The Reception teachers are sooooooooooo proud of all the children. They did fantastic in their Nativity performance. What a big achievement performing in front of lots of grown ups. Mrs Bowman's hands were shaking but Reception were full of confidence!
School Disco - May 2022
Reception had a great time at their first school disco. There was lots of dancing and some great singing too.
Summer Buddy Trip - Knowsley Safari Park - June 2022
We had a fantastic day at Knowsley Safari Park with our Year 6 buddies. We saw lots of animals and watched a sealion show and a bird show.
Thank you buddies for adding to the excitement of the day. I think we might have worn our buddies out though...sorry guys!!!
Sports Day - June 2022
Well done Reception. They have just completed their first sports day. They did a great job, especially on such a warm day. We saw some great hopping, jumping, throwing, balancing and aiming.
Just for the record, yes the water dripping from my face was sweat! Thanks to the reception child who pointed it out. It was the sack race. It wore me out!
Thank you to all the family members who came to cheer the children on. You helped make the afternoon even more special.
Crocodile Joe - June 2022
Reception really enjoyed meeting Crocodile Joe and all his animal friends today. Reception were really brave and touched the snake and lizard. Mrs Hulton got a bit of a surprise when the tarantula came out but she was just as brave as all of Reception!
Graduation - July 2022
The children were amazing in church today for our leavers celebration. It was a long service and they sat so well. They also looked very grown up when they were collecting their graduation certificates.
Well done Reception. You have grown so much and we are all super proud of you. Have a fantastic summer.
