Daily Lockdown Plans

Welcome to the Reception daily plans and resources page.

We had all desperately hoped that we would not be in this position but now that we are, I can assure you that we will do everything we can to support you and your child.

I will be placing a daily plan on this page with some linked resources below. These plans will remain on this page so that you can access them whenever you would like.

Last year, it proved helpful to keep putting the most recent days plan at the top of the page so that you do not have to scroll further and further down as the weeks go on. I will therefore do that again this year.

I will also host two Teams video sessions at 9am and 1pm each day (12:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon). These will give the class the opportunity to see each other and we can use these sessions to support the mental well being of the children and can discuss some of the work completed. Please do not worry if you cannot make these sessions. They will be recorded, so you can access them at a later time in the day if you want to.

E Mails - If anyone has any questions at all please keep contacting me via the reception e mail. All staff have been directed to answer these up to 4pm. Therefore, if you e mail after this and I do not reply I apologise. I am not being rude I am just following our protocol. I will make sure that I respond as soon as I can the following day. You can also send some pictures of some of your home learning or examples of work if you would like and I can comment on these and offer you feedback.

Please take care, look after yourselves and remember we are still here to help with anything we can.

World Book Day Week! Julia Donaldson Theme

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Welcome to the final week of remote learning. It is a lovely week to end on as it is includes World Book Day. As you all know, I am running with the theme all week. As promised I have included some links below to some masks that could be printed and used on Thursday when the children dress up as a Julia Donaldson character. I have also re attached the details of the school competition that is taking place in the week and the SCARF World Book Day competition.

In addition to the usual 'generalised weekly overview'. link below, I have also attached a link to a document that Mrs Delaney has re circulated. It is support document for families that Bolton Educational Psychology Service produced towards the end of the lockdown last academic year. It offers support ideas for preparing/supporting your child for returning to school. If anyone has any questions at all please get in touch. Lets go with our final week...Mrs B

Wow, we have actually made it to the end of our remote learning journey. Thank you so much for all your support along the way. Fingers crossed we do not find ourselves in this position again. You have all done an amazing job throughout this challenging time. It actually feels a little bit sad writing this final morning note. However, it will be lovely to see all the children back together again on Monday. I hope you all have a great final day of home learning today and manage to have a restful weekend. Take care and see you soon. Mrs B.

Daily Plan + Resources For Thursday 4th March

Morning everyone. I know we have been doing World Book Day related activities all week but today is the official World Book day. Mrs Spencer-Peck will be announcing the 'Extreme Reading' competition winner on Teams this afternoon. I am aware some of you might have a couple of outstanding questions about when your child returns to school next week i.e. what to do with the work you have produced, reading books etc...I will send a class e mail out today with some key information that you might find useful. If you have any other questions then please just e mail and i will do my best to answer them. See you soon. Mrs B

P.S. Farmer Sam that sends us our weekly lambing updates, has sent us a link to story, especially for World Book Day. The author, Sandra Derry, gave permission for it to be shared. I have added the link below. He has also said that he managed to catch the birth of a lamb on video, so will be sharing it on next week's update. We will be able to watch it in class together. Hope you enjoy his story below.

Welcome to day 2 of World Book Day Week! We are going to be listening to another Julia Donaldson story during our afternoon Teams meeting today. However, it is not going to be me reading the story. We are going to have a guest reader from school! I hear he is very good at doing different character voices and he has selected his favourite Julia Donaldson story. Hope you all enjoy it. Have a great day and I will see  at 9am and 1pm. Mrs B

Daily Plan + Resources For Monday 1st March

Here we go...Hopefully this will be your last Monday of remote learning. I am going to introduce the fact that it is World Book Day this week on our morning Teams session at 9am. Each afternoon, I will then read the children a Julia Donaldson book. I will be selecting stories that we are not covering in the literacy session so that they manage to hear a wide spread of stories. We might even have one or two guest readers through the week. Today's afternoon story will be Zog.

We have already received our second update from Farmer Sam. I have copied a message from him and the link below: See you soon. Mrs B

Message From Farmer Sam - "We’ve had the first arrivals of the season! And they’re introduced in these videos. There are no births included this week (there will be next week) I do talk about pregnancy and show ultrasound scanning. Some pre-teaching may be beneficial for the youngest."

Week Beginning 22nd February 2021

Welcome back everyone. I hope you have had a great half term. Off we go again with another week of remote learning. I am sure we are all going to be fixed to the news on Monday to hear when school will be reopened. I cannot wait to have everyone back together, when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we will keeping navigating remote learning together. Please remember where I am if you need anything at all. In the meantime, our generalised weekly overview is linked below. At some stage this week, I also hope to update you this week on the 'Live Farm Lambing Feed' that  I tweeted about in half term. It does not directly relate to our current topics, but will hopefully be interesting. We do discuss life cycles of animals later in the year, so could also be useful for future learning. In the meantime take care and please contact if you need anything at all. Mrs B

Well done with all the work you completed yesterday. I bet you already feel like you have never been away from remote learning!

On the daily plan today, I have included some information and a link to a lambing update that I mentioned on Twitter over half term. Our class has signed up for regular updates that we can watch online. The farmer said things are quite quiet at the moment but he hopes for some more regular updates soon. Today's update is a general one about getting the farm ready. Hope you have fun today. I will see you on Teams at 9am and 1pm. Mrs B

Week Beginning 8th February 2021

Can you believe this is the last week of this half term? The answer is supposed to be no! However, after this half term you may well be saying yes and it can't come quick enough! For this reason, I have named this week 'Look After Your Home Teacher Week'. I know some of the children are starting to flag a little bit as we get closer to half term. This is completely normal. It is something that we would be witnessing in school at this stage in the half term, so it is no wonder that some of you are seeing this at home too. As a teacher, I know it is also hard for us at this stage. Therefore, on each daily plan this week, there is going to be a little task or activity for your child to do that is aimed to try to help you a little bit and show how much you are appreciated. I hope it helps.

In terms of daily learning, this week in school is usually a very practical week as all the sessions are linked to Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year falls on Friday this week. Usually, we would have a little party and have some Chinese food in class. I am going to save this for when we are all back in school together though. That means we will all be able to share in the experience together.

I would suggest that this week you start with the literacy session each day, as this will set up the maths and phonics activities.

I have attached our generalised weekly overview below, along with some optional, additional Valentine and Chinese New Year activities, that can be completed at any point in the week. Hope you have lots of fun and hope you are looked after a little bit on your special week. Mrs B.

Generalised Weekly Overview - Week Beginning 8.2.21

Valentines Optional Activities:

Heart Colouring Sheets       Valentine's Day Home Learning Challenges

Chinese New Year Optional Activities:

Chinese Dragon 2D Cutting Activity          Chinese New Year Colouring Pages                            Dragon Mask

Making A Paper Lantern Activity                Chinese New Year Home Learning Challenges.

Daily Plan + Resources For Friday 12th February.

You have made it! Not exactly the start to 2021 that we all hoped for but you have all risen to the challenge amazingly. I want to reinforce everything I said in your e mail yesterday, thank you so much for everyone's continued support.

Children are invited to come to Teams in the afternoon dressed as a superhero if they would like because they have all been superstars this half term. I have attached a mask to today's resources that your child could decorate if they would like.

Just a slight correction to today's daily plan. In the literacy instructions it mentions some dragon resources. They are attached to today's resources rather than with the optional weekly activities that I stated in the plan.

Hope you are all able to have a great half term and enjoy not having to come on here daily! Take care and see you after the holiday. Mrs B

P.S I just wanted to give you some advance notice...One of the suggested topic lesson activities for the first day back after half term will involve salt dough. I have attached a recipe for salt dough below (red font). There will be an alternative option though if you do not fancy salt dough. We will also be making jam sandwiches on the Tuesday, as part of our Literacy lesson.

I hope Reception managed to carry out their secret mission and drew you a special home teacher picture to show you how much they care. You might have another secret little task being carried out today! The aim is to make you feel special and appreciated...I just hope it doesn't actually cause you any more additional work!

Hope you have fun with today's work. We are carrying on with the theme of love. There is a little video below today's resources which introduces and explains the literacy task. I wonder if anyone spots the 'deliberate' spelling mistake on one of the hands in the video...ooops! I only spotted it once it was all recorded and uploaded. I promise I do actually know how to spell the word 'because'. Your children are going to be getting better at segmenting that me! See you on Teams at 9am and 1pm. Have a great day. Mrs B

Today we are thinking about love, ready for Valentines Day on Sunday. As mentioned in the weekly introduction, you might want to do the literacy session before maths and phonics, as the literacy introduces the theme for the day. I also posted a little introduction video last Friday. You might want to re watch this before you start your work today. Hope you have a lovely day and hope all you home teachers get a little surprise at the end of the day to show you how appreciated you are.

Week Beginning 1st February 2021 - Children's Mental Health Awareness Week

Hi, the aim this week is to try to focus on looking after yourselves. This week is officially 'Children's Mental Health Awareness Week'. However, in order for children to have good mental health and well being, it helps if their support and the people that surround them and care for them also have good mental health and are strong and positive. Therefore, parents please be kind to yourselves this week (and always), try not to put too much extra pressure on yourselves and remember you are doing an amazing job.

This week, work will continue to be set as in previous weeks but in addition, each daily overview will have a link to an optional mindfulness and well being activity. Please continue to work through the work at your own pace. Continue to adapt and be selective when and where necessary. Everything I have seen so far has been great, so basically keep doing what you are doing.

Below, there will be the usual generalised weekly overview (green font) and then there will be some Gingerbread Man optional activities (blue font) that can be accessed at any point in the week, if you would like something else/different to do.

In addition this week, there are also some additional mindfulness and well being activities / links that can accessed whenever you would like.

If you need anything at all, then please contact me and remember to look after yourselves. Mrs B.

Well done everyone, we have powered through to Friday. I have loved seeing all the things you and your children have been doing this week. You have all really got into the spirit of 'Mental Health Week'. I can't wait to see how children dress up to express themselves this today. I will see you at 9am and 1pm today.

At 1pm on Teams we have a special visitor. An author called Gareth Baker is going to join us online and retell the story of the Gingerbread Man. I am sure the children will love this. It will just be important that we all try to stay on mute while he is with us.

Our remote author visit will be a great way of ending a fab week. Thank you for making this week so successful. I hope you are all able to have a restful (ish) weekend! Take Care  Mrs B

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. It is great to see how you are all managing to adapt work where necessary and are finding lots of additional practical ways of keeping your child engaged and happy. As I said last week, the play based activities that you will already have around your house and getting out for walks and fresh air are just as important and beneficial as the tasks I am setting. Please also remember that the links I sometimes add for lesson introductions are sometimes just to help your child become interested in the session. If you are concerned about the amount of screen time your child is having during lockdown, please do not feel you have to follow all the links.

This week, I have attached a generalised weekly overview below and then the blue links beneath are links to some additional, optional activities. These are linked to our 'Little Red Hen' work again. They can be completed at anytime during the week, if you wanted something else to do!

Right, ready, steady, lets go...Bring on this next week of home learning.  Together, we have got this. Remember where I am if you need anything. Mrs B.

It is Friday, hooray...am I allowed to say that, as the class teacher!! I mean oh no it is the last day of the week!

I am so proud of everyone again this week. I know it is getting harder and harder to maintain momentum and positivity but you are all doing a fantastic job from what i have seen.

I am sorry if anyone experienced any problems with the class page yesterday. I am not sure what was wrong. Some people could access the documents and some couldn't. Re posting the page appeared to solve the issue, so if anyone has that problem again, please just e mail again like you did yesterday.

Touch wood, no technical problems today. It looks like there are a lot of attachments today but you may not need / want all of them i.e. the optional pirate hat resource!

As a little bit of advance notice, next week, in addition to launching our 'Mental Health Awareness week' we will be looking at 'The Gingerbread Man' in Literacy.  You might want to make and decorate (or buy) some gingerbread men. They could be useful tools to keep children engaged with their addition maths work! I will attach a recipe next week.

Take care and thank you all again for all your support this week. Mrs B

Well done with all the fantastic work I saw yesterday. I was very impressed with your vehicles. You all put me to shame. The vehicles we made at school do not have lights etc...!

I have used a 'Letters + Sounds' lesson clip as part of the Lion groups phonics work today. From a teachers perspective, these video lessons are excellent in terms of the things they cover. However, last years Reception found them a little bit too fast and lost interest part way through them. I have noticed that the sessions have been adapted a little from those produced last year. Please feel free to send me some feedback on how your child finds it today if they try it out. If needs be, I will attach an alternative link in the future, whenever I use these 'Letters and Sounds' sessions.

Daily  Plan + Resources For Monday 25th January

Hi, you will start to see that every Monday, from today, there is a 'Rock Kidz' assembly session on our daily overview. The children took part in the online Rock Kidz Christmas party, so they are familiar with the group. Rock Kidz have been a great support to our school in the past and Mr Moorhouse has been working with them to organise these links for us. Rock Kidz are a Christian group that explore Christian values and topics in a fun, energetic way. All the instructions, details and links are provided on the daily plan. Hope your child enjoys them. I have also attached two short video's below today's resources. These introduce the fact that we are starting to look at addition this week. They introduce two different methods for working out addition sums. Later in the week, two more videos will be posted, introducing two more methods of working out.

I will hopefully see lots of you on Teams at 9am and 1pm today. Bye for now. Mrs B

Week Beginning 18th January 2021

I hope you have all had a good weekend and are ready for tacking another week of remote home learning together. I will be back in school on Tuesday, so I will be keeping a close eye on my computer but I apologise if I cannot reply to you as quickly as I tried to do last week.

This week I will continue to attach the majority of documents as PDF files, as some parents did contact me to say they preferred this last Friday.

Once again, I have attached a generalised weekly overview below (in green text). You could use this to see what is coming ahead in the week. This will hopefully help if you need to be selective with which activities you undertake. You could also cross off activities and then if you wanted to go back to any missed activities later in the week, you know where to look for the plan/resources.

Please, remember what i said in my e mail to you all on Friday. Practical games, craft activities and physical activities that you can do with your child at home are just as useful as any activities that I am sending. I am not always suggesting these on daily plans, as different households have different resources but we would ordinarily be doing a lot more practical activities at school in contrast to the amount of paper based activities that I am sending. You have all been really positive about activities though and you are finding great ways of delivering remote learning and finding your way through this lockdown, so thank you.

Finally, below the generalised weekly overview, I have attached some additional activities/resources, linked to our weekly literacy topic. These could be accessed at any point in the week, if you would like an extra activity. I have also attached a link for 'Oxford Owl'. This is a useful reading site that I know parents used a lot during the last lockdown. It provides online books for your child to read and usually has a supporting activity. This could be useful, as we are obviously unable to change weekly reading books.

Hope you have a great week. Lets go....! Mrs B

We have reached the half way point in the week. Well done. It has been great to see the practical, creative work that children have been doing this week, alongside their written work.

I will hopefully see lots of you again at 9am and 12:30pm  on Teams.  Have a great day. Mrs B

Update 8:25am - I have just printed the tiger group phonics activity at school. I had minimised the cards so there was less printing for you. I might have made them too small now though. So I have attached the original sized document below today's resources just in case you would prefer that one!

Daily Plan + Resources For Tuesday 19th January.

HI, I am back in school today but I will still try to be in as much contact as I can. Please still get in touch if you have any questions at all.

Yesterday, school were sent some PE resources from the people that deliver PE with the rest of the school on a Wednesday. I have attached their idea with the additional optional resources for the week (above). I have also saved them on our 'resources sub closure page'.

I hope you all have a lovely day. There is a video attached below today's resources which introduces the topic session. I hope the children enjoy meeting 'Mr Sam Claus'! Take care and hope you have a great day. Mrs B

Daily Plan + Resources For Monday 18th January.

I have posted a little video below today's resources to support/introduce the maths session. There are not quite as many attachments today. That is not purposeful, after me mentioning my concern about the amount of attachments I was sending you! It is just a coincidence that most of the sessions today are completed directly into books. I will still be setting worksheet activities when they are appropriate, as it sounds like you have actually found them quite helpful. Have a great day and I will hopefully see lots of you at 9am and 1pm on Teams. Thanks. Mrs B

Week Beginning 11th January 2021

Firstly, I know it is out of our control but I apologise that you had to receive the message you did yesterday. I know I was devastated to hear we would not be able to support key workers in the way we had been trying to. We will all get through this together though.

Just some key message that I want to pass on to those of you that were learning from home last week and our new home learners...Please only do what you can. Sometimes, the amount of work might appear quite daunting. We have to provide the full curriculum. However I know you will all have different pressures at home. So please just do what you can. Below, I have attached a link (green font) to a generalised weekly overview. I was unable to produce this last week due to the speed we found ourselves in lockdown. This overview will hopefully let you see the kind of things that will be coming up through the week and may help you to plan your week. You will still receive a more detailed, daily overview each day which explains each activity and has the links on. The daily plans will remain on the website in case you want to go back one day and complete something that has been set previously.

PRINTING - You will see that I often try to attach a worksheet to support an activity. We would not usually complete this many worksheets in school, as a number of activities would be practical group games. You do not have to print every sheet. Sometimes, you will just be able to use the worksheet to give you an idea of how it could be drawn in your child's home learning book, or written out for them. I have not actually got a printer at home, so I will be doing the same this week if I try to show some work during our Teams sessions.

Phonics - From this week, I am going to start offering two different levels of phonics activities. I have named one group the 'Tiger' group. This groups work is aimed towards the brown, purple and blue literacy group. The other group is called 'Lions' and is aimed towards the red, yellow and green literacy groups. You are welcome to look at activities from either group though.

Anyway, good luck with your week and please, if there is anything at all I can do to help you the please contact me. Look after yourselves. Mrs B

Generalised Weekly Overview - Week Beginning 11.1.21

Daily Plan + Resources For Friday 15th January.

You have almost made it to the weekend. just this one last day to go. I can hear the sighs of relief through the computer screen!

When I had some work sent yesterday, I noticed a word document had not printed out properly. I do not know if anyone else has had that problem but I had heard that some people in other classes had. I have saved the attachments as PDF documents now. I hope this helps if you were having any layout issues. If you were not having problems, I hope this does not cause problems! Just let me know.

Once again, remember not all attachments will necessarily apply to your child and some of the attachments can just be looked at on the screen.

I have added another little video under the resources. This video introduces today's literacy activity. I apologise for the train that went past just as I was recording.

Good luck today. Hopefully see you at 9am and 1pm. If not, then have a great weekend and lets hope the weather gets a little bit better. I guess it has not been a bad week to be stuck inside! Take care and thank you for all you have done this week. Mrs B

Daily Plan + Resources For Thursday 14th January.

You are powering through this week well done. If you join our Teams morning at 9am, remember you are invited to come along in a silly hat, normal hat hairband etc...just like our Year 6 buddies did. Mrs Spencer-Peck will then be running the afternoon Teams session in the afternoon. She will see you all every Thursday afternoon, just like she would do if we were in school.

Advance Notice -I cannot remember if I have already mentioned this but next week our 'Toys' topic has a 'design and technology' link. Towards the end of next week, children will be encouraged to try to make their own toy car. In school we usually do this with cardboard boxes. We add wooden wheels but I would not expect you to do lots of carpentry at home! If you do have some cardboard packaging though, you might want to save it for next weeks session. Do not worry if you do not have glue etc...because children could alternatively make a car out of lego, duplo, play dough, salt dough etc... There are recipes for play dough and salt dough on the sub closure resources page. If your child is going to be in school next week, please could you send them with a box i.e. cereal box, microwave meal box, shoe box. I will be taking some in, so do not worry if you have not got one. Thank you in advance.

Hope you all have a terrific Thursday. Remember we have some differentiated work this week so not all the downloads will apply to you and some can just be looked at on screen and do not require printing. Well done to those of you who are finding ways around printing. I have seen some excellent artistic skills from parents.

Look forward to hearing from you. Keep trying hard Reception and make sure you keep listening to your new home teachers. Mrs B.

Daily Plan + Resources For Wednesday 13th January.

Hi everyone, it looks like there are a lot of downloads today. However, a number of today's sessions are differentiated, so not all downloads will apply to your child. Some of the downloads are also ones that can just be looked at on screen. The daily plan looks quite long as well but you will know by now that I like to waffle and am not sure how much detail to give you. Sorry!

Phonics - A few parents have been in touch asking about which phonics group their child is in. I think most of you know now but just to reinforce...The phonics groups have just been set up for this lock down, so if you have a look at which literacy group your child is in (on the password attachment sent in an e mail on Tuesday 5th Jan). 'Tiger Group' is aimed towards the brown, purple and blue literacy groups. The 'Lion Group' is aimed at the green, yellow and red literacy groups.

Phone Calls - Mrs Hulton has called people who have been unable to make our Teams meetings this week. Just a follow on from the e mail I have sent out, if you have made the Teams meetings but would still like your child to have a 5 minute chat with Mrs Hulton, please send a request to the Reception class e mail with your number and we will sort that for you.

Hope you have a great day. Hopefully see you at 9am and 12:30pm for our Teams meeting. It is only Wednesday afternoons that will have this earlier afternoon meeting time. Well done everyone. Mrs B.

Daily Plan + Resources For Tuesday 12th January.

Welcome to Tuesday's plan and resources. Well done yesterday. I know it was all very new for quite a few people but hopefully the parents who were home learning last week can reassure you that it does get easier...well more familiar, not easier! I have practiced sharing a screen on Teams, so might try that out today. I will also use the mute button I have to help with people hearing. As I mentioned in an e mail yesterday, Mrs Hulton will be phoning people in the afternoon that we have not seen on any of the 4 Teams sessions. I want to reinforce, this is not at all to 'check up on how much work you have done'. It is just to check that you yourself are OK. Then if your child wants a little chat to Mrs Hulton, they can have a little 5 minute catch up at the same time, as I am aware it must be extremely hard to try to get on the Teams meetings at the designated times. There is another little video that I have uploaded. It will be below today's resources and aims to introduce today's literacy activity.

Thank you again for what you are all doing. Hopefully see you on Teams and if you need anything just e mail. Stay string. Mrs B.

Daily Plan + Resources For Monday 11th January

A couple of parents mentioned that the little wizard writer video that I posted last week helped with focus and attention. Therefore, I have tried to add a couple more videos for this week. The technology we have only allows each video to be around 4 minutes long and as you will see from today's video, I am not a great camera man! There is a video below today's resources that supports the start of today's maths activity. I mentioned in the weekly note above, I have set two differentiated levels of phonics work this week, which will continue as we move through this lockdown period. The 'Tiger' groups work is aimed at the brown, purple and blue literacy groups. The 'Lions' work is aimed at the green, yellow and red literacy groups. You are welcome to look at work for each of the groups.

I will hopefully see some of you at 9am and/or 1pm. Thanks in advance for all you are doing.

Week Beginning 5th January 2021

When setting the daily plans, I will be trying to set work linked as closely as I can to what we would have been doing in class. I will obviously make some adaptations in order to make it appropriate at home. Key worker children that are in school will be completing the same work in school as that that has been set for remote learning.

I am well aware that home learning can be extremely difficult. Therefore, please only do what you can. In class, the daily activities would not be completed one after the other. There would be plenty of free choice and 'playing' in between. So please do not feel you have to run all the way through the plans in one go.

I will be attaching some worksheets etc... Do not feel you have to print all of these all the time. You might not have a printer or might run out of ink quickly. Some of the sheets can just be copied on to a piece of paper or you might be able to make a resource like some flash cards, rather than print ones I have attached.

Please e mail if you need anything. You can also e mail pictures or some examples of completed work if you would like. Alternatively, you can store work completed in the cardboard home learning folder that I sent last term. Then, when we return to school, your child can bring their work and I can look through and save it all with their learning journey folder.

Thanks. Mrs B

Daily Plans + Resources Friday 8th January

Well done everyone, you have made it to the end of the week. Thank you for all your support this week. It sure has not been the start to 2021 that I had hoped for. Today our Teams catch up will be all chat content again. However, I will practice with it and practice sharing a screen etc... That will mean that some of the future Teams meetings can be me doing some teaching input with a PowerPoint and other resources on screen. I promise I will get there. It is just all very new. We have found some online tutorial videos now though to help me work out how to use it! I think yesterday helped me over my nerves though. It feels very strange teaching through a computer screen.

Please all try to have a well earned break this weekend (easier said than done). Take care and I will see you all next week.

Thanks Mrs B

Daily Plans + Resources Thursday 7th January.

Welcome to Thursday's remote learning. My Southern mentioned in one of his letters this week that remote learning will be launched today. The work I have been providing since Tuesday is actually what will make up the main part of our remote learning. I think I had misunderstood how much detail I had to provide on the last two days and launched right off with the full plans! The addition will be our 'Microsoft Teams' catch up video chats though. These will take place at 9am and 1pm. I am aware that some families will not be able to make these times but I will attempt to record them and save them on Teams so they can be accessed another time. These will provide me with the opportunity to chat to the children at home, and I can introduce some of the learning coming up and reflect on learning that has taken place.

E Mails - If anyone has any questions at all please keep contacting the reception e mail. All staff have been directed to answer these up to 4pm. Therefore, if you e mail after this and I do not reply I apologise. I am not being rude I am just following our protocol. I will make sure that I respond as soon as I can the following day.

So, hopefully I will be able to see some of you at 9am or / and 1pm today. Take care and keep going. We have nearly made it through our first week. Mrs Bowman

Daily Plans + Resources - Wednesday 6th January.

Well done to all those that took part in the home learning yesterday. You might have seen that when you access the closure page and scroll right a Reception additional resources page comes up. This has a number of links and resources on that I provided for Reception during the last lockdown. Some of these resources might not be relevant but you might find some helpful.

I mentioned in the daily plan for today, that I will try to upload a video of the wizard writer song! I have posted the video below the plan and resources for today. It might give you all a giggle. I hate videoing myself! Hope everybody has a good day. Take care. Mrs Bowman.
