Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to yourselves and the children for offering me such a warm welcome to St Saviour’s. We have another exciting term ahead of us, with lots to look forward to. In Geography, we will be exploring what life is like living in the Alps and making comparisons between lifestyles. In History, we will travel back in time with the Vikings, where we’ll learn about what life was like during this time. Were they raiders, traders or something else? In science we will be experimenting with a range materials and their properties, experimenting with mixtures, separations, melting and cooling. It’s set to be a busy and engaging term, and we can’t wait to get started.

PE is on Monday and Friday until half term – remember that children will now need to wear their PE kit to school on these days.

Homework is given out on a Friday and needs to be returned by Thursday. 

Spellings are given out on a Monday and tested on the following Monday, children will also be allocated time to practise in class each day.

Reading books are changed whenever they are finished.  But we need to see that children have read 3 times a week (minimum), records should be signed by an adult. That runs from Thursday to Thursday (to return with homework).
