Music
At St Saviour C.E Primary school we aim to deliver a high quality music education which will engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians. As pupils progress they should develop a critical engagement with music allowing them to compose, and listen to a wide range of music. The teaching of music develops skills and attitudes which can support learning in other areas of the curriculum, such as listening and concentration skills, perseverance, self- confidence, creativity and respect towards others. We believe every child should have full access to the music curriculum and every child should be given the chance to shine. We work closely with the Bolton Music Service to ensure we are trained and working collaboratively with high quality music specialists. BMS offer curriculum lessons and teaching guidance to our school, they provide instrumental whole class, group and private tuition, as well as supporting out school choir.
We are proud to call ourselves an Artsmark school.
