Class 5 Photos 2018-2019
Year 5 have had a great time at Kingswood. They've had to work together, persevere and be resilient whilst having lots of fun!
Here are the videos they made in their creative media workshop.
Year 5 are taking part in a community project called Bridging the Gap. This will end in the summer term with some of the children building a temporary bridge at Prestolee Locks which will stand as a symbol of 'Bridging the Gap' between people in the community and promoting community cohesion. So far they have visited the bridge and taken part in 3 workshops: making a boat, building a bridge and creative media. Take a look at what they have been doing so far.
We celebrated World Book Day with an illustrator focus. In KS2 we could come dressed as any character from a book that had been illustrated by Quentin Blake. The children in Year 5 looked great, take a look!
We had a great time at Stockport Air Raid Shelters. We investigated the tunnels and learnt how to keep safe in a gas attack as well as make do and mend. Take a look at some of the fun we had.
We have linked up with a Year 5 class at St. Mary's Deane. We met up at Bolton Museum to get to know each other. We had a great time in the art gallery and the Egyptian section. Here are some pictures of our time there.
As part of our topic on the Ancient Egyptians we have been to Liverpool Museum to look at real life artefacts and to take part in a workshop about mummification. We had a great day and took lots of pictures. Take a look at some of them!
We have been celebrating Grandparent's Day in Class 5 today by inviting our grandparents in to work with the children. It has been lovely to have them in class this morning!
